After completing bachelor’s degrees in music and elementary education from Colorado Christian University,  Katrina and her husband Nathan eagerly left the big city behind and settled in Pagosa in 2001.  Since then, she has worn many hats - such as helping run the family’s accounting business, serving as Music Director and Children’s Director at Pagosa Bible Church, but most of all becoming mom and teacher to four fabulous kiddos.

In addition to homeschooling, she serves as administrator and teacher in several co-ops.  However, her favorite part of homeschooling is all the education they are privileged to do as a family NOT at home!  Some of their favorites are traveling, RVing, hunting, fishing, backpacking, making music together, dancing, and performing in community productions.
