We are excited to teach Spanish at Pagosa Family School using the Sonrisas Spanish Curriculum.  All of Sonrisas curriculum lessons are based on the national standards for teaching world languages and are rich in research-based methodologies.  

Students will be immersed in a Spanish language environment rich in cultural studies and experiences. Teachers will focus on natural acquisition of Spanish through immersion in activities students love: music, games, stories, drama, role-play, art, chants and rhymes. Students will learn about the products and perspectives, the geography, and the history of Spanish speaking cultures all over the world. Each student will keep an interactive portfolio to serve as an assessment tool and link between classroom and home. 

Our Spanish classes are designed with the intent to create life-long lovers of the Spanish language.
