Mrs. Linda Lutomski

Mrs. Lutomski is excited to share 20+ years of experience of teaching art and innovation that has been enhanced through education, travel, professional development and her personal art practice. Having come from Cranbrook Educational Community, a nationally recognized private school campus that includes an art museum, science museum and Art Academy helped to foster her deep appreciation for the value and role of visual art in education and across curriculum.

Her passion is in developing a dynamic art program with a focus on evolving creative investigations to meet the needs and interest of her students. She has worked with many artists and cultures to develop a strong background in a variety of mediums from drawing and painting to sculpture, ceramics, fiber and printmaking. Her hope is that her love of learning is contagious in the classroom and encourages her students to recognized connections between their experience and education!

Her students will be introduced to basic design, drawing and painting, printmaking, sculptural methods and ceramics, fiber media (including paper making and bookmaking as examples), weaving, basic metal processes and of course creative explorations, while referencing history and culture as it is developmentally appropriate. The expectation is that knowledge, skills and experimentation will build successively for more sophisticated creative problem-solving.

Much of Linda's leisure time is spent creating in her art studio and finding inspiration in nature.
