After completing bachelor’s degrees in music and elementary education from Colorado Christian University, Katrina and her husband Nathan eagerly left the big city behind and settled in Pagosa in 2001.  Since then, she has been immersed in education in many various capacities from preschool to high school. 

Ms. Thomas was a member of the original organizational team that launched Pagosa Family School and has been on staff as a teacher since January of 2018. She can also be found around the community as the Executive Director of Pagosa Springs Dance Academy and heavily involved in musical theater productions.

Ms. Thomas, her husband Nathan, and four children love the great outdoors that Pagosa offers.  If you're in the woods, you'll find them fishing, hunting, hiking, camping, or just reading a book.
