Lutomski's K-2 art class began using the cameras that were gifted with a grant from Rotary. The students were so excited to begin learning how to use these cameras and they were so careful with the new equipment. Thank you Rotary for enriching out program.

Middle students switched classes today for exploratory and have now begun a unit on loom knitting w Mrs. Wiggers. Cant wait to see some final projects.

A new year's project underway in Rose's art class. Students and staff are thrilled to be back in the classroom-learning and painting together!

Mrs. Thomas and Mr. Dale's music class had a blast using Boomwhackers in class this week. Really, what could be more fun than making music together with 'Boomwhackers'?!

Mrs. Lutomski's art students used skills of watercolor resist and origami to create chameleon "skin" from paper. Their paintings were folded and cut to become 3D sculpture. After watching National Geographic videos about the colorful creatures and their habits, the kids included specific details to their creation. It's fun to see them hiding in plain sight throughout the art room!

In Mrs. Lutomskis art class, the older students have learned how to create art in 3D forms--a perfect union of math and art as they build these tasty looking 'treats'.

P.E. students spent the week playing Partner Scoop-Pass which gave them opportunities to practice teamwork and sportsmanship and coordination, while working together to complete a series of passes for their team with various objects. Lots of fun movement going on in P.E.

Pagosa Family School is excited for the new addition of a sewing class for middle school aged students. PFS welcomes Mrs. Lynell Wiggers as she joins our teaching team--all at PFS are excited to #learntogether in sewing class.

Many thanks to the FACE foundation for their generous grant of looms and weaving materials for Mrs. Lutomski's art class. These grants provide the students of Archuleta county with additional educational opportunities!!
